The MK4 is Sennheiser's first studio microphone with a large diaphragm. Developed based on the acoustic characteristics of the high-end vocal microphone e965, the MK 4 is a studio microphone with a 24-karat gold, 1-inch true condenser capsule. Although it was developed primarily for professional use in recording studios, it can be used in any recording environment, including live recordings. The MK 4's transducers are manufactured in the same dust-free chambers where high-end Sennheiser and Neumann condenser capsules are manufactured. The rugged metal body and capsule with built-in shock mount can withstand the rigors of field use. The MK 4 main unit alone can reduce handling noise, but the MKS 4 suspension (sold separately) can further improve the effect. It has a typical cardioid polar pattern at all frequencies and a very attractive price, making it the perfect microphone for home recording users and musicians alike.
