Produced in 1959, this the Disney studio's most ambitious feat, a glorious production of brilliant waltz music adapted from Tchaikovsky's ballet. At 1 o'clock in the 14th century, a witch resembling a queen in "Snow White" tells the king an ominous prophecy. Aurora, the newborn princess, will never die by poking her finger on a spinning wheel before sunset on her sixteenth birthday, and will never live happily ever after with the one she loves. But thanks to the playful and slightly goofy fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the prophecy isn't quite fulfilled. In this work, the main character, the princess, doesn't do much (because she sleeps all the time, she can't be an attractive character in the first place). Instead of the sleeping princess, Prince Philip will lead the story by fighting Maleficent, who is disguised as a dragon, just like the fairies.
